CREATIVITY

True Creativity is the flow of life .  It runs in all of us.  It is when we become truly present, SATNAM.

"All art, music, poetry, dance and handicrafts attempt to capture and reflect the flow of the universal life force.  When the artist is acting sensitively, as a channel for the life force passing through him, his art gains that grace and spontaneity which touches the essence of creation.  In this sense, all art is worship of God."

A Yogi Bhajan Quote.

"Happiness is just A moment away"

To be content all we have to do is live in the moment.  Not in the past, not in the future, not in your emotions, not in experiences, not in your knowledge and NOT In your MIND.  Become a child and live each moment with these innocent eyes.  Feel the present, there is so much to unravel, so many subtlities that we miss because we build a wall around yourselves so thick that we become imprisioned.

It is so simple..... just let yourself feel the moment and be present.

Kundalini Yoga and the Chakra’s

Chakras

‘Men of great knowledge actually found out about the chakra’s-their workings, their petals, their sounds, their infinity, their co relationship, their powers.  They found that the life of a human is totally based on these chakras.  They developed into a whole science.  This total science gave birth to Kundalini yoga.  That is how Kundalini yoga was born’.

Yogi Bhajan

Chakras means ‘wheel’, they are energy centres.  Understanding Chakras can help us to understand the way we perceive, feel and make choices.  They affect the flow and types of thoughts we have and how we act upon these thoughts.

Opening and balancing the chakras is vital in living to our full potential as humans.  The eight chakras are a system by which we gain awareness.  The chakras are who and what we are.  It is how we experience life, perceive reality and how we relate to self, to others and the world.

Come and join me on a Journey through the Chakras.

gong meditationPerspective and Emotional Balance

I did this mediation with a beginners class. Sometimes when you have been practicing yoga for a while; its nice to come back to the basics and explore the simple prana excercises.  These are the foundations.

This one is a jewel

Breathing long and deep through the left nostril while the right nostril is blocked off.  once you can't inhale anymore blocking off the left nostril and letting the breath smoothly flow out of the right nostril.

You instantly feel calm and your body and mind start to relax down.  This is great one if you have had any shocks/fear and/or anxieties. Its one for the evening to put away those worries for another day.

The change of breath allows you to go outside the problem so you are no longer in it.  This gives you a different perspective and allows you to make choices that are real and not in a fantasy of your creation.

If you want to have a go then go to:

If you are a teacher or a committed yogi then this is one to master!

in Kriyas

camel pose2Getting rid pf Fauls in the Spine

I did this kriya with some beginners in my Monday class. Its a great beginners set but also can challenge the intermediate student!

This set focuses on the spine and activating the kundalini energy at the base of the spine. Its great for those of us that keep a lot of tension on the shoulders and neck.  It really shifts and loosens the tension so when you breath you can let it go! It can be very mediative so its important to ground yourself when you finish by either imaging red in your feet or having something heavy to eat such as a potatoe.

I believe that if the spine is not flexible then how can our thinking be flexiable? we need to learn to flex with the emotions that rise and lower.  Instead of being in them; lets surf them.  This kriya provides you with tools to do this.

Are you brave enough have a go... if so go to:

www.shaktarkaur.com/kriyas/getting_rid_of_faults_in_the_spine.htm

You will see a different perspective of YOU.
